Molly was the first Golden Retriever for our family. Our two oldest daughters started looking for a purebred dog about 16 years ago when our family attended the annual "Bluebonnet Festival" of Burnet. It was the last day of the festival and the rain was beginning to disperse the crowds when the girls noticed a beautiful blonde Golden puppy, the last of a litter of championship bloodline Golden Retrievers that had been on display. Needless to say, we took "Molly" home, and she has been a faithful companion and protector for our sixteen children here on our family farm ever since. Molly is AKC registered and OFA hip certified. She is a light golden blonde color with white feathering for a very distinguished, majestic look. She weighs approximately 75 pounds. We kept a puppy from Molly's first litter (couldn't resist) and named her Leah. Then, when our oldest son got married we gave him a puppy from one of Molly's subsequent litters whom they named Calypso. And, when our son and daughter in law moved into an apartment that wouldn't allow pets we eagerly "adopted" Calypso back into our family,
Thus our "golden" family is growing!
